Kansas City Facility Tour + Construction Roundtable

Join the Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) Heart of America for a facility tour and policy roundtable at our Kansas City Apprenticeship Training Facility. Lawmakers and industry leaders will see firsthand how ABC trains nearly 400 apprentices across Missouri and Kansas through a Department of Labor–certified, multi-employer program that is fully employer-sponsored.

The tour will highlight the ABC facility, world-class instruction, and ABC’s nationally recognized STEP safety program. Following the tour, a policy roundtable will bring together contractors and elected officials for a discussion on workforce development, safety, merit shop market share, and solutions to address the construction workforce shortage.

This event offers a unique opportunity to see how the merit shop is preparing the next generation of skilled workers and to exchange ideas that will shape the future of our industry.
